The taskforce the media release made available to Pointsports by GFF publicity/marketing officer forms part of the manifesto promised to develop every sector football in The Gambia.
The Committee is tasked among others to supervise the proposed national beach soccer tournament organised by Crown Sports Entertainment; to provide strategic leadership and direction for Beach Soccer; to assist the GFF with the formation of Beach Soccer League, and to prepare a comprehensive list of materials and equipment needed for the implementation of a Beach Soccer League.
The inaugural launch was presided over by GFF president Lamin Kabba Bajo, who is also a member of FIFA Beach Soccer Committee.
Meanwhile, the committee members are as follows: Abdou Karim Sey as chairman; Alagie Faye, vice chairman; Mafugie Jatta, coordinator; Alagie Nyassi, secretary; Modou Lamin Jobe, member; Eku Grant, member; Abdou K. Cham, member and Amadou Demba, member.
In another development, the Gambia Football Federation said it would organize a CAF B’ License Coaching training for Gambian coaches from 8to 12 September 2015 at the Friendship Hostel Hall, Independence Stadium in Bakau.
The training is meant to enhance the capacity of Gambian coaches as part of GFF’s football development agenda, according to the release.
Interested coaches are urged to collect application forms at the GFF Secretariat in Kanifing not later than 5 September to effect payment against the deadline.
Tuition fees of D8,000 (Eight thousand dalasi) should be deposited at their FIBank account # 0100350602.
Interested applicants must be active in coaching for the past one year within the GFF Leagues and competitions, the release added.
The intended participants must also be of CAF C’ Licence holders and must submit their summary of activity report, it went on, saying that applicants must have an equivalent certificate (foreign diploma /certificates) for the B’ Licence assessment.
