Samger have snatched top spot in the 2014-2015 Gambia Football Federation second division league after beating Marimoo 2-1 in their week-twelve fixtures played at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda.
The academy boys were demoted to the second tier following their dismal performance in the topflight last season and were second-place before their slender win over the Manjai-based outfit to top the league, with six more games to go.
Steve Biko dropped to second place following their goalless with Serrekunda East Bi at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium.
The Bakau giant killers were leading the country’s second tier since the start of the league campaign in January 2015, but slipped to second place Samger following their goalless draw with the Serrekunda-based outfit.
