The stage is set for the much-talked about congress of the Gambia Football Association, headed by Seedy M.B Kinteh, whose successful four-year tenure in office is likely to be extended after he was left unopposed for the Presidential position.
The much-anticipated congress would be held tomorrow at the GFA Technical Training Centre in Yundum. It is also expected to witness the election of the 1st 2nd and 3rd Vice-Presidents of the country's biggest football association.
It's earlier reported by Pointsport that it was a total of 54 out of 59 club representatives, but it has now increased from that figure to 56, says the man at the helm of affairs, Seedy Kinteh.
Seedy who took the position in 2005, will be unanimously elected to run the affairs of Gambian football for four-year tenure.
The congress which will bring together delegates from all the clubs, as well as the region is a constitutional requirement at the end of every four-year term in office.
