GFA: Gambian Delegation to Tanzania, Algeria to leave today

The Normalisation Committee of the Gambia Football Association has announced that the Scorpions will travel to Dares Salaam, Tanzania, and subsequently to Algeria for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers for Brazil and 2013 CAN qualifiers for South Africa respectively.

Members of the national team (Scorpions) are expected to leave Banjul on Wednesday June 6, 2012 and would play the Taifa Stars of Tanzania on June 10 in Dares Salaam. They will then travel to North Africa for the second leg of the 2013 CAN qualifier for South Africa against the Desert Foxes of Algeria scheduled to take place in Blida on June 15, 2012.

The Normalisation Committee solicits the support of every Gambian towards the Scorpions’ success in the two crucial fixtures.

The Gambian team and officials to both matches are as follows:

Modou Sowe (Team Administrator), Luciano Mancini (Head Coach), Peter Bornu Johnson (Asst Coach), Lamin Sambou (Asst Coach), Alhagie Marong(Goal Keeper Trainer), Pa Matarr Ndow (Physio), Sanna Bojang (Kits Manager), Kalifa Manneh (Doctor), and Malang Jassey (Head of Delegation)

Players: Musa Camara, Abdou Jammeh, Momodou Futi Danso, Lamin Samateh,  Ousman Koli, Pa Saikou Kujabi, Mustapha K Jarjue, Yankuba Ceesay, Demba Savage, Saihou Gassama, Alieu Darboe, Momodou Ceesay, Pa Modou Jagne, Tijan Jaiteh, Bubacarr Sanyang, Christopher Allen, Musa Yaffa, Sulayman Marreh, Mamut Saine, Hamsa Barry, Ali Sowe, Omar Colley, and Saloum Faal.
