Interior have maintained their hundred percent record in the 2011-2012 Gambia Football Association’s second division league after thrashing Lamin United 3-1 in the Week 2 fixtures played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium on Friday.
Tallinding United came from one nil down to draw 1-1 with debutant Gunjur United at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda.
Gunjur United opened the score through left-back Kebba Sanyang in the 63rd minute of the game from a cross-range strike to give his side the lead.
Tallinding United levelled the score through centre-back Amadou Gibba in the 70th minute of the game from a brilliant free-kick to cancel out Kebba Sanyang’s opener.
Elsewhere, Latrikunda United were held to a goalless draw by Banjul United in the other Week 2 fixtures played at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium on the same day.
Interior are now leading the standings with maximum 6 points in two games, Gunjur United are 2nd position with 4 points in two games and Tallinding United 3rd position and 4 points in two games but Gunjur United are leading Tallinding United on goal difference.
