Gamtel/Gamcel extend lead

Gamtel/Gamcel Male Volleyball team has continued their unbeaten run of form in the National Volleyball League, following their three sets to nil victory over the Gambia Armed Forces on Wednesday 14th July 2010, at the Gambia Armed Forces Volleyball Lawn in Fajara.

The victory has now totaled their points to 12, leaving Armed Forces still at three points.

Sambou Bojang, the Head Coach of the Gambia Armed Forces, said they were really prepared for the game, but added that Gamtel/Gamcel are a better side than them. He said that’s why they won the game.

Alieu Njie, a professional volleyball player for Gamtel/Gamcel said since they came from Dakar, Senegal, they have improved a lot.

Alieu thanked his coach and teammates for their determination, commitment and hard work in the league.

According to him, they are not in the same standard with the Gambia Armed Forces team. He said they won the game by three straight sets.

Ebrima Ceesay, alias Nassy, a player for Gamtel/Gamcel, thanked the entire management and staff of Gamtel and Gamcel for their support towards the team, adding that they are giving them all they need as a team.
