Gamtel have bounced back beating Brikama United 2-1 in their week-fourteen fixture played at the Brikama Mini Stadium on Saturday, after losing two consecutive games.
Both sides came into the game with the objective of bagging the maximum points to keep their hopes of clinching the league title.
Gamtel, who were the better side in the opening ten minutes of the game, created several goal-scoring opportunities.
Assan Ceesay gave Gamtel the lead in the 13th minute of the game from a clinical finish before substitute Sainey Bojang levelled the score for Brikama United in the 59th minute after breaking through Gamtel’s defence line to cancel the Ceesay opener.
Modou Sarr grabbed the winner for Gamtel in the 71st minute of the game from a stunning strike to earn his side the maximum points at the expense of Brikama United.
Brikama United finished the game with ten men when substitute Saikouba Manneh was sent off for unsporting behaviour.
Gamtel and Brikama United have each got 19 points in fourteen games.
