Kebba Ceesay, vice chairman of The Gambia Football Association Technical Committee, has called on all Gambian Coaches to join hands in curbing the goal scoring deficiency faced by Gambian football.

He said the lack of goal scoring ability is a tactical issue which needs guided skills by local coachesto address the situation.

"This is a serious issue as it has cost the Scorpions CAN 2010, the U-20 team and could have even affected the U-17 as well.

We have seen the same problem affecting Banjul during the just concluded zonal championship," he added.

He said in order to address this situation we need a total involvement of all coaches that are fully dedicated to the game to help nurture the needed tactics on the parts of Gambian players to be goal scorers.

Ceesay, who was making these statements at the AGM of The Gambia Football Coaches Association, also advised GFA to assist in training Gambian coaches so that they will not only be able to handle national teams but foreign clubs as well.

He pointed out that  credit goes to all Gambian coaches on the present improvement of the Scorpions in the World Rankings.
