Gambian-American brings IT High-Tech Company

A Gambian-American, Famara Sawaneh, who is an information technology expert, is in the country to establish a high-tech IT company called Bizdatasoft Solutions Gambia Limited.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with this reporter on Thursday, Mr. Sawaneh, a Saruja-born Gambian, unveiled his company's plans, aims and aspirations. According to him, the company is already registered to operate in the country as Bizdatasoft Solutions Gambia Limited. Bizdatasoft Solutions Gambia Limited is a subsidiary of Bizdatasoft Solutions, LLC based in Maryland USA.

The enterprise, according to its founder, is a leading business technology and software consulting company that offers one of the highest qualities of IT solutions and services to commercial, federal, state and local government agencies.

"We provide superior solutions and services to our clients and assist them in achieving their business and technology goals. Our more than 15 years of experience and commitment to excellence in IT have earned us the reputation and respect in the industry," said Mr. Sawaneh.

Mr. Sawaneh is a technology architect, consultant, specialist, business analyst, data analyst and manager with over 16 years overall experience implementing, managing, maintaining, and supporting diverse information and communication systems for government, commercial, and worldwide client base.

He revealed that the company would offer solutions and services such as Business Process Reengineering, Data Management Solutions, Enterprise Software Implementation, IT Security Solutions, Document Management Solutions, Project Management, Education and Training, just to name a few.

He left the country since 1990 for the US, where he did computer studies. "While in The Gambia I have always had an enterprising sprit and a desire someday to see what I can do for my country." He added that being his motherland, he feel like its mandatory upon him to contribute to the development process of the country; thus the need to bring the high-tech company back home.

He said he had been coming to the country throughout the past ten years, and did his assessment and realized that there are new IT technologies in the US that are not in the Gambia, and is committed to transfer that knowledge to the country. "We are here to bring IT to the doorstep of every Gambian irrespective of rich or poor, and in this 21st century we believe IT should be accessible to all," he added.

He is determined to use his contacts and partners like Dell Partner Direct, HP Partner ONE Business Development Partner, McAfee Security Alliance exchange (MAX) partner, among a host of renowned major software, hardware and technology service providers.

The new IT company boss told this paper that he has been talking to many businesses, government departments and banks to introduce the company to them, and find out from them their technology needs, and that the feedback he received was excellent. He said that they are happy to contribute to attainment of the country's Silicon Valley project and Vision 2020.
