As the Baby Scorpions play against Algeria today in the 8th edition of the CAF U 17 championship, Pointsport yesterday went round around the Greater  Banjul Area to sound the opinion of the people about the Final.

Yusupha Sanyang, alias Papis of Lamin, said that the Scorpions have the means to win the match noting that since the championship started the boys played as a team.

Saiba Keita, a staff member of The Point, stated that the match is going to be a tough one for the boys, but despite the home support the Algerian team is going to receive a defeat. " I know they will bring the Trophy," he added.

Ebrima Dampha of Banjul called on the general public to pray for the team to win adding that the players are determined to complete the task that lies ahead of them.

Bakary Jammeh of Bakau, predicted that Ebrima Bojang will emerge as the leading goal scorer of the tournament because, according him, he is an asset to the team and goal keeper Musa Camara is also a real motivator to his colleagues.

Fatou Njie of Latrikunda, advised the players to be mindful of the tactics of the Algerian team because at times they can easily fool the referee in the game.

She pointed out that for the second time the Gambian team are meeting the Algerian team and it will not be easy for them but, "I am sure that we will make it."

Karafa Jallow, also resident of Bakau, said The Gambia should do everything possible to win because the nation is at the moment in a celebratory mood.

Tijan Badjan, a resident of Latri-Kunda German, said The Gambia has nothing to lose but they should also respect their opponents because Algeria are a good team.
