Gambia to rub shoulders with Gabon in AFCON qualifiers on 23 March

Gambia senior national team; the Scorpions will play away to Gabon in the group D fixture of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on 23 March, in Libreville.

Coach Tom Saintfiet and his charges are currently topping group D of the qualifiers with 4 points following their convincing 3-1 away victory over Angola in Luanda before their 2-2 draw at home to Democratic Republic of Congo in Banjul in November 2019.

They will prepare themselves sturdy to whack Gabon away from home in the first-leg on 23 March in Libreville to increase hopes of qualifying for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted in Cameroon.

The Scorpions will host Gabon in the second-leg on 31 March, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

Meanwhile, Gabon are currently sitting second-place in group D of the qualifiers with 4 points after two group games following their goalless draw away to Democratic Republic of Congo in Kinshasa before their  2-1 home win over Angola  in Libreville in November 2019.
