Gambia to begin AFCON qualifiers against Algeria in June

The Gambia will begin their group D Qualifiers of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations away to Algeria in June 2017 by the weekend of 9, 10 and 11 as revealed by the Confederation of African Football.

The Gambia will later play at home to Togo and Benin in September 2017, and March 2018 before their return leg at home to Algeria in October 2018.

The Gambia will wrap up their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers away to Togo in November 2018.

The winner in each group will join the hosts Cameroon and the three best losers in the finals of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Gambia have been paired with Algeria, Togo and Benin in group D of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.

It would be recalled that The Gambia failed to qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations after finishing bottom-place in group M of the qualifiers with only 2 points in qualifiers matches.
