The
president of the Gambia Swimming Association, Khadija Njie-Sanusi, has resigned
from her post in a letter sent to the association last week.
From
SBEC Swimming club, Mrs Khadija Njie-Sanusi was elected unopposed in 2015
following out-going president Pa Alieu Jallow’s decision to withdraw his
candidature at a congress held at UTG law faculty.
Khadija
is now based in Ghana with her husband. Reacting to the news, Yoro Njie, the
Secretary General of the GSA, said the association had received Khadija’s resignation
in good faith. “She has served the association well and we’re thanking her for
that,” he said.
