Gambia leave for Casablanca prior to int’l friendless with Morocco, CAR

The Gambia National team yesterday left Banjul for Casablanca prior to their international friendly matches with Morocco and Central Africa Republic, according news emanating from football house in Kanifing East layout.

The Scorpions will use the two international friendly matches to prepare themselves enough for their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers away to Benin in June 2017, in port- novo.

Coach Sang Ndong has travelled with twenty-four players - three home-based players and twenty-one foreign based players - for their upcoming international friendly matches with Morocco on 23 March 2017, against Central Africa Republic four days later.

The Gambia has been paired with Algeria, Benin and Togo in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers set to commence in June 2017.
