Midfielder Demba Savage came to the rescue of the home side in the 78th minute to earn The Gambia a point going into Tuesday’s encounter.
Namibia will now host The Gambia in the second leg on Tuesday 13 October 2015 with the brave warriors needing only a goalless draw to sail to the second round of the qualifiers against Guinea Conakry in November 2015.
