Gambia Football Coaches Association trains coaches in Gunjur

The Gambia Football Coaches Association in collaboration with Gunjur Sports Committee organized a three-day coaching course for Nawettan Coaches in Gunjur at the Gunjur Upper Basic School.

The training course brought together twenty coaches from Gunjur and surrounding areas, aimed at equipping the young with basic skill and techniques in modern coaching.

In an interview with reporters shortly after course, the president of the Gambia Football Coaches Association, Pa Samba Mbenga, said the aim of his association is to equip Gambian coaches with knowledge in modern coaching.

He expressed his association’s willingness to support and equip Gambian coaches with knowledge, and he urged the coaches to make best use of the knowledge gained from the training.

The Secretary General Gunjur Sports Committee, Abdou Janneh, applauded the Gambia Football Coaches Association for the initiative, adding that the training course would go a long way in equipping young aspiring coaches with new skills in modern coaching.

He stated that the training course will reduce violence in the field, during the course of the Nawettan.
