Gambia female national team on Saturday beat Zonal Selection 5-0 in a friendly game played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.
The Gambia female national squad were supposed to play Guinea Bissau in a friendly but the game was called off the last minute, with the visitors understood to have had travelling problems.
The Gambia female national team players were absolutely superb in the game and were strong in all departments. They won the lion’s share of ball possession and managed to notch in five astonishing goals to snatch a convincing win.
Zonal Selection fought back for an equaliser but could not break through the Gambia female team’s solid defence line thus the game ended 5-0 in favour of the Gambia female national team.
