The Gambia Fashion Night, which is an event to promote tourism in The Gambia, is proudly facilitated by Rebecca, a Gambian national, and Joachim Zielesch, a German national. The programme is proudly sponsored by Comium.
Speaking in an interview with journalists on the day of the selection, Amer Atwi, managing director of Comium, said sponsoring such an event “is something very important” to the country.
“This is all about promoting tourism as tourism is the backbone of this country,” he said. “Since this event is covering local talents, Comium is coming on board to support.”
Mr Atwi added that Comium as a GSM operator needs to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.
“Comium is part of this event and this is a way to showcase these talents to the world,” the Comium MD said.
This is to bring the world to The Gambia and The Gambia to the world, he remarked, adding: “This is the first fashion event sponsored by Comium.”
He thanked the organisers for introducing such a good programme in the country.
