Gambia
Armed Forces (GAF) have missed their chance to renew their lead in the ongoing
Gambia Football Federation (GFF) division one league.
The
soldiers were topping the country’s elite league standings before their
week-four clash with Gambia Ports Authority, who were struggling since the
start of the league campaign in December 2019.
They
slipped to the ferry boys by 1-0 in a tricky tie, played at the Banjul KG5 Mini
Stadium on Monday to taste their first defeat in the new league season.
This
defeat dropped Gambia Armed Forces to third-place in the league table with 7
points after four league outings.
Coach
Ebrima Jatta and his boys will go back to the drawing board to improve on their
weakness ahead of their next league fixture against Gamtel this Sunday, at the
Serrekunda East Mini Stadium to convalesce in the league after losing to Gambia
Armed Force.
