Mentereng football tournament organised by Brikama Sports Committee in
collaboration with team representatives has reached semifinal stage following
the completion of the group matches.
Sanyang
United will rub shoulders with Gunjur United in the all-Kombo derby semifinal
on Friday 29 July 2016, at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.
Sanyang
United were winners in group B and will be hunting to beat Gunjur United in the
semifinal to progress to the final.
Gunjur
United finished runners-up in group A, and will be fighting for revenge after
losing to Sanyang United 2-0 in the 2015-2016 West Coast Regional third
division league to advance to the final.
The
host Brikama will play against Lamin in the other semifinal. Brikama finished
top spot in group A, and will be searching for a win against Lamin to sail to
the final.
Lamin
finished as runners-up in group B, and will be steering to beat Brikama to
progress to the final.
