Fula Bantang village set to replenish depleted forest cover

Fula Bantang Youth Development Association is to embark on a massive tree planting exercise in and around the village bushes as part of an ambitious regeneration initiative to replenish the settlement’s depleted forest cover.

The initiative, which enjoys popular support from the top echelons of the village, the youths in and outside the country, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 20 August 2016 in Fula Bantang.

The Fula Bantang youth development association diaspora link in the United Kingdom is spearheading the environmental initiative overseas which is designed to replenish the indigenous village depleted forest cover. 

The association is therefore soliciting support through cash or kind to the tree planting exercise which consists of mangoes, mahogany Gmalina, etc.

The initiative dubbed: ‘plant a tree today for a lasting legacy’ is being coordinated by a special constituted committee in the kombos who can be reached on the following numbers to make a pledge: (220) 3193899, 3751236, 3159992, and 7490693
