Amadou Touray, a former coordinator of Technical
Vocational and Education Training (TVET) at the National Training Authority
(NTA) was recently arraigned before Magistrate Gomez of the Kanifing
Magistrates’ Court, charged with stealing a motor vehicle.
The alleged offence stated that between March 2014 and February 2015, along Kairaba Avenue in the Kanifing Municipality, Mr Touray, being the former project coordinator of TVET, stole a motor vehicle with registration number BJL 5271G, which was allocated to the unit.
He denied any wrongdoing, and was granted court bail of D90,000 with a Gambian surety, who must swear to an affidavit of means and deposit an ID card.
The case was adjourned to 2 June 2015.
