Karamo Bojang, former deputy director of the National Drug Enforcement Agency, NDEA, yesterday ended his defence testimony in the case involving him and four others at the Special Criminal Court in Banjul.

Under cross-examination, Karamo Bojang said the allegation level against him by one Saikouba Jammeh, that he (Karamo) stole drugs from the exhibits store was false.

He added that when Saikouba Jammeh was confronted with the allegation, he denied saying so.

He told the court that Jammeh himself was charged to that effect, and he (Bojang) instructed Ousman Sanneh, the operations director, to take disciplinary action against Jammeh.

Bojang said under cross-examination that he also knew that Jammeh was dismissed by the executive director, and later taken to court and charged with stealing and discreditable conduct.

He added that following the testimonies of Saikouba Jammeh and one Ebrima Jawara against him in court, they were reinstated, adding that Ousman Jatta also fabricated lies against him.
