Former NA clerk appointed URR deputy governor

Following the appointment of Momodou S. Kah as deputy minister of Agriculture, one Momodou Selou Jallow of Basse Santu Su has been recently appointed to fill the post.

In an interview with this reporter yesterday, deputy governor Jallow confirmed the story.

He described the appointment as a challenge, and vowed to do his best to better the life of the people of the region.

"As a native of URR, I will do my best to better improve the living standards of the people of this area," he said.

Prior to his recent appointment as deputy governor, Mr. Jallow was a Principal Assistant Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism and Culture.

He was one time a deputy Clerk of the National Assembly and later promoted to the position of Clerk of the Assembly.

Jallow also worked in the Ministries of Tourism and Finance where he rose through the ranks to the level of Principal Assistant Secretary in both ministries.
