Sally Konteh, a five-year-old resident of Bakau, is in dire need of assistance to go for overseas treatment.

Speaking recently in an interview at The Point office, Harouna Konteh, father of the patient, said his daughter is suffering from a heart problem and was hospitalised at the Medical Research Council (MRC) but later referred to Professor Ag. I. Bara Diop of Fann Hospital in Dakar, Senegal, for x-ray.

He added that his daughter was only x-rayed in Dakar, Senegal, but could not be treated because they did not have the facilities for such treatments and that as a result he is pleading for help from individuals, philanthropists and the private sector and the government to come to the aid of his daughter to go for overseas treatment.

Konteh also says that they are supposed to go back to Dakar for antibiotics treatment for four weeks but added that the only solution to her daughter is to go for overseas treatment, as recommended by medical authorities.

He said her daughter spent five months at the Medical Research Council (MRC) but could not receive the appropriate treatment.

He is therefore calling for help to get his daughter to go for overseas treatment.

Meanwhile, those wishing to help Sally Konteh could reach the father on 6229736 or 7744851.
