The trial of one Abdoulie Saine, who was alleged of stealing from a motor vehicle commenced at the Brikama Magistrates' Court.

Testifying before magistrate Secka, the first prosecution witness, one Alasan Joof told the court that he is a fisherman, and that he could recognise the accused, Abdoulie Saine.

According to him, on 18th March 2010, he parked his vehicle with a registration number BJL 8232F, marked VB type 3 in his compound and left to the beach side to find some fish. And upon his return home, he found the following items missing in his vehicle: car tape, radio cassette, mobile charger, USB cable and memory card.

Mr. Joof further adduced that he then went to inform one, Abdoulie Ndow, a mobile technician about the incident.

Still testifying before the court, the complainant told the court that later he was called by the technician, Abdoulie Ndow, who informed him that he had bought a memory card from the accused.

Consequent upon this, he said the accused was arrested and the stolen items were found in his possession.

The recovered items were later tendered in court as exhibits.
