Finance Minister resigns, Banjul Mayor abandons post

According to reliable sources, Abdou Kolley, the Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs, has resigned and is currently in Dakar, Senegal.

He has been replaced by Benjamin Roberts, who was Minister of Tourism.

Fatou Lamin Faye, Minister of Education, is overseeing the Ministry of Tourism.

Meanwhile, Abdoulie Bah, Mayor of Banjul, who last month recognised President-elect Barrow, has abandoned his post and is seeking refuge in Senegal.

This move was taken by the mayor, after the authorities seized his official car.
