The Normalisation Committee of the Gambia Football Association will receive two senior officials from FIFA who will be visiting The Gambia on 4 and 5 July 2012 as guests of the Gambia Football Association (GFA).
During their two-day official visit to the country, Primo Carvalo, head of FIFA Football Associations, and Prosper Abega, senior administrator at FIFA, would meet members of the GFA Normalisation Committee on the state of Gambian football to “map out the way forward”.
The FIFA officials would further discuss with the Constitutional Review Committee on the GFA draft constitution with the aim of amending and aligning it with the FIFA recommended statutes, according to media officer Bakary B. Baldeh.
Mr. Primo and Mr. Abega will wrap up their sojourn in The Gambia on Thursday, 5 July 2012 after visiting football facilities in the Greater Banjul Area.
This will be preceded by a courtesy call on the Minister of Youth and Sports, Alieu K. Jammeh, in Banjul on Wednesday 4 July 2012.
