FIFA congratulates The Gambia For Women World Cup spot

The Local Organising Committee of FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Azerbaijan, has sent a congratulatory letter to The Gambia Football Association through its acting-General Secretary congratulating the country for its qualification berth to the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Azerbaijan.

The letter signed by the LOC Chairman Elkhan Mammadov wishes The Gambia every success during the championship and further states that with the participation of countries such as The Gambia in the flagship tournament, FIFA can build great memories, strong cooperation, talent development and a better world.

The Local Organising Committee is said to be working hard to provide an active and a family friendly environment for all of the participants during the Azerbaijan World Cup.

FIFA President Sepp Blatter has been quoted saying The Future of Football is Feminine. The Local Organizing Committee therefore could not agree more and the hard work and dedication for national teams such as The Gambia’s ensures that the future of women’s football is bright as young stars are lining up to make the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Azerbaijan 2012 an exciting global event.

FIFA through its Local Organising Committee of the Azerbaijan Women World Cup finally assures The Gambia of its help to assist in every issue during its participation in the event.

A website has been opened for the purchase of online tickets for the opening match of the championship: www.fifa.com/Azerbaijan2012.

“Thank you and wishing The Gambia National Women U-17 team every success at the Azerbaijan Women World Cup 2012,” the FIFA letter states.
