FIFA Coca-Cola World Cup Trophy arrives In Banjul

The Coca-Cola FIFA World Cup trophy which began its longest journey to all the African countries with the exception of Sudan arrived at the Banjul International Airport on Wednesday night for a three day visit.

Gambians that have been waiting joyously to receive the real solid trophy for the first time could consider themselves lucky because they are now enjoying the arrival of the world's most prestigious trophy that is in the country for a 3-day visit in anticipation of  South Africa 2010 FIFA World Cup in order to promote the forth-coming final.

The most celebrated trophy in human history landed at the Banjul International Airport last night under the watchful eyes of Gambian football fraternity who all went to the Airport in their large numbers to avail themselves the opportunity to have a close view of the authentic World Cup trophy.

The trophy proceeded to the Gambian leader at the nation's highest office in State House who is expected to unveil it to the rest of the Gambians for public viewing later in the day.

The much-talked about Coca-Cola FIFA World Cup trophy that is in its first visit in the country will avail some people an extraordinary opportunity to have a photo with the real solid trophy which will remain in their memories for the rest of their lives, hence it is a rare opportunity in one's life.

During the presentation at the Independence Stadium today, fans would be accorded  the opportunity to enjoy a rare close-up view of the coveted trophy and the general public would  also be allowed to have a photo with the world's most popular trophy under the watchful eyes of the Gambian leader and the chief patron of this historic occasion Sheikh Prof. Dr.Alh.Yahya.A.J.J Jammeh.
