Former State Guard Commander, Lt. Col. Gibril Bojang who is currently serving four years jail term for the offence of stealing was yesterday arraigned again before Principal Magistrate Emanuel Nkea of Banjul Magistrates' Court.
He was alleged to have stolen an amount of D314, 000, being the proceeds of sales of rice from the Kanilai Family Farm.
When asked by the Presiding Magistrate whether he had access to a lawyer, Bojang replied in the negative, saying "I have been convicted on the same matter which I am presently serving."
In response, the Prosecuting Officer, Inspector Fadera told the court that the present charge was different from the former.
At this point, the case was transferred to another Magistrate.
The case continues today.
