Demba Gibba, a resident of Barra Village, was recently arraigned before Principal Magistrate Taiwo Ade Alagbe of the Banjul Magistrates’ Court, for being in possession of prohibited drug.
According to the particulars of offence, some time in 2012, in Barra, Lower Nuimi District of the North Bank Region, the accused, Demba Gibba, was found in possession of three bundles of suspected cannabis sativa.
He denied the charge when it was read and interpreted to him in the language he claimed to understand, before the case was adjourned until a later date.
