Dr Shaka, a lead singer and founder of born African is currently putting finishing touches in the country by organising major musical concerts as well as to promote his next album entitled Naturality.
In a chat with The point Entertainment recently at the Alliance Franco, Dr Shaka whose real name is Isiakha Jallow and also one of the brain behind this programmes said that the album will be release as long as after it promotion and it will be release in The Gambia in June, 2011. The born African music singer furthered told Entertainment that he is doing a lot of collaboration albums which will be release both in The Gambia and abroad, adding that he did the collaboration with a Gambian artiste Lil Black artiste living in the UK. The album contained 12-tracks. Dr Shaka added that the concerts are geared to provide funds for the Charity Foundation which is a newly registered.
Dr Shaka is expected to perform at Duplex Night Club, Jokor Westfield and Gunjur. Upon his performance in the Greater Banjul area, The international musician will continue his tour to the up countries like Farafeni, Kaur as well as to Keur Messa in
Also speaking during the interview, Abdoulie Jeng Managing Director Food First Project said that Dr Shaka visit to the country is very important noting that this is part of distributing the messages to the rural areas. Mr Jeng added that Dr Shaka is here in the country to perform as well as to promote his next album. The funds we gather during the shows will be put into the foundation.
