The minister of Foreign Affairs, Mamour Alieu Jagne, has been removed, and the portfolio returned to Dr. Abubacarr Senghore, with effect from Monday 26 May 2014, GRTS radio announced on Tuesday evening.
Dr. Senghore was replaced in by Mamour Jagne, who was reportedly re-deployed to another post in the country’s foreign service.
Dr. Senghore returns to Foreign Affairs from the Ministry of Higher Education, which has now been placed under the purview of the Office of the President in Banjul.
