Speaking to reporters shortly after the game, Hagi Kusa Touray, head coach of Demba Kunda, said since he took charge as head coach he has never allowed a team to beat his side twice, adding that he was beaten by his opponents prior to the final, which was why they prepared for revenge in the Super Cup.

Muhammed Trerra, head coach of Julangaine, said his side was unlucky during the final as they played well.

The final will serve as another test case for them as they have learned from their mistakes, he also said.
