Principal
Magistrate Hilary Abeke of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court yesterday ordered
one Ebrima Gassama, the defendant, to pay D154, 000, D50, 000, D50, 000 and 25
per cent interest.
This
was contained in a judgment he delivered in favour of the plaintiff, Beatrice
Badjie.
The
plaintiff, Beatrice Badjie, was claiming for the recovery of D154, 000 being
the money she paid to the defendant, based on a UK visa agreement which later
failed.
She
was also claiming D50, 000 as damages and D50, 000 for legal fees as well as 25
per cent interest.
