Culture FC on Saturday beat Hands on Africa FC by a goal to nil to book their place in the quarterfinals stage of the Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) Nawetan League competition.
Buba Trawally commonly known as Steve scored the only goal of the game for Culture FC in the 32nd minute of the game, from a sensible strike.
The encounter which was played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium, saw Culture FC ending the game with ten men after Ansumana Badjie was sent off, when shown the red card for a second bookable offence.
Speaking to Papa Sarr Corr, head coach of Culture FC, shortly after the game, he said he was happy eliminating Hands on Africa FC from the competition, and booking a place to the quarterfinals stage of the Nawetan competition.
He noted that he always advised his players to go for the big cup (the league), now that they are out of the knock-out competition.
The red card his player received was very bad, Corr said, further claiming that a Hands on Africa FC player made the same challenge on one of his players, and was not booked.
He concluded by thanking his fans, management and players for their hard work.
