The accused told the court he is a carpenter by profession and on the day in question, while he was going out of their compound, he was followed by his pet dog, and the complainant stone the dog, and the stone accidentally hit him (the accused).
“I approached the complainant and she ran and entered into their compound,” he said, adding that when he attempted to follow the complainant he was stopped by one of the complainant’s sisters.
He said he told the complainant’s sister he only wanted to see the mother of the complainant to report her so the mother could warn her.
The sister said he would not enter the compound, and the tenant also said he would not enter, he said, adding that they had an argument and he was taken out.
When the mother of the complainant came from the market, she was informed and she went to the police station without informing anyone, and the police came, arrested and detained him and later taken to court.
The case continues.
