The Kanifing Magistrates’ Court yesterday heard a case of office breaking and stealing brought against one Edrissa Jaiteh.
Testifying, Olu Taylor Thomas told the court he works at Data Bank, Westfield, and could recognize the accused person.
He said that on 14 April 2012, he was called by his boss, informing him that the sliding door had been broken, adding that when he came he noticed that the door had been broken.
Thomas further told the court that he reported the matter to Sunu Kerr Police Post in Serekunda, where he made his statement.
He said the police visited the scene and did their fingerprint.
He said that some time in May, he was called and told to report to the police station where he was shown a report on their finding, telling him that they got the accused’s fingerprint and would transfer the matter to the charge office.
Thomas revealed that D4, 500 and two external hard drives valued at D5, 000 each were missing in the said office.
The case was adjourned till 11 July 2012.
