The Islamic conference, held at the Paradise Suites Hotel in Kololi, was organised by the Club Foire-Gambia.
The convergence was supported by Gamtel/Gamcel and attracted the participation of two distinguished Senegalese scholars, Sheriff Mamina Aidara and Alhaji Oustass Tafsir Gai both of 2STV of Senegal.
The Senegalese scholars, who engaged the minds of the audience, discussed in detail the life and attributes of the Prophet and his teachings, which are worthy of emulation.
They further call on Muslims to maintain unity and to always stand firm on the truth in all their dealings with others.
“Hatred should not secure a place in the hearts of Muslims. The Prophet (SAW) teaches us to love, care and respect one another,” they advise.
Meanwhile, the conference also attracted high-profile dignitaries among them the Imam Ratib of Banjul, the minister of Basic and Secondary Education, a representative of the First Lady, and the Senegalese High Commissioner.
