Complainant Testifies In Court

The latest prosecution witness to testify in a burglary and theft case before the Kanifing Magistrates' Court involving Modou Njie and James Sambou, was the complainant himself, Ebrima Jaw.

Testifying before the court, the complainant Ebrima Jaw told the court that he could recognise the accused persons and could also recall on 13th October 2009.

According to him, he met the 1st accused Modou Njie at Serious Crime Unit in Serrekunda Police Station when he was informed that the culprit who broke into his shop has been apprehended.

He said at the police station, the 1st accused started to confess and begged him to forgive him, adding that the accused was not under duress and also did not observe any injury on him.

The case continues.
