Scholes was suspended for three matches for the town team and his club after failing to play for Gunjur in the 2014 Super Nawettan zonal football championship.
Badjie said Scholes is currently serving three-match suspension with one more match to complete his suspension, but the sport committee decided to lift the suspension imposed on him.
Badjie stated that Scholes should have completed his suspension to save the committee the accusation of favouritism.
He accused the committee of favouring some teams. Although he did not hate Scholes, he would always want things to go through the right channels in the “interest of football development in Gunjur”.
“The decision of the organizing committee is discouraging, which would affect sport in Gunjur,” Badjie said, adding that all teams in sport should be treated equally.
Badjie advised the committee to be seeking advice in making some crucial decisions for the smooth running of sport in Gunjur.
“The decision of the sports committee in lifting the suspension on Scholes is really disappointing,” the Commit FC head coach reiterated.
