The President of the Gambia German Cultural Association (GGCA), Abdoulie Falai Jallow thanked the guests for coming out in numbers to celebrate The Gambia’s golden jubilee.
For his part, the Assistant Secretary General of the Association, Prince Bubacarr Aminata Sankanu, observed that “it is not easy to bring together busy people running businesses with at least one thousand employees together on a working day.
The fact that all invited guests came in person and on time shows the respect accorded us here.”
The event was enriched with traditional Gambian music as the guests interacted and exchanged ideas on areas of mutually beneficial cooperation between Germany and The Gambia.
Some have already expressed readiness to visit the Gambia during the course of 2015 to assess the opportunities on the ground.
