Cloth thief gets two years with hard labour

The Kanifing Magistrates' Court presided over Magistrate Tabally recently convicted and sentenced one Modou Sey to a mandatory jail tern of two years with hard labour.

The sentenced was given based on the convicted person’s own plea of guilty to a charge of theft.

According to the charge sheet as presented by the police prosecutors, on18th October 2010, at Dippakunda in the Kanifing Municipality, Modou Sey stole one roll of cloth material valued at D500, the property of one Alimu Jallow
