The
trial involving one Hoja Touray, accused of criminal trespass, Thursday
suffered another adjournment at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court before
Magistrate Pierrette S Mendy.The
case could not proceed, as the accused, Hoja Touray, was not in court.
The presiding magistrate, in her ruling, told the court that the matter had suffered several adjournments, as this was not the first and the second time for the accused to be absent without giving any reason or writing to the court for the reason of her absence.
She therefore ordered the arrest of the accused person and be remanded in custody until Monday for her to be brought before the court.
The matter was adjourned to Monday for hearing.
