Busumbala ends Brufut Utd’s unbeaten run in WC Regional 3rd tier

The Bush town boys came from one nil down to beat the Coastal boys 2-1 in the all-Kombo North derby clash played at the Brufut football field.

This earned Busumbala third place in the league with 14 points in seven games and just two points behind league leaders Brufut United, who have grabbed 16 points in seven games and are a single point behind second placed Gunjur United, which drew goalless with Sifoe United at the Sifoe football field.

The reigning champions, Jambanjelly, held Nema United to a goalless draw at the Nema Kunku football field on the same day.

Brufut United are still leading the league with 16 points in seven games; Gunjur United are in second place with 15 points in seven games, and Busumbala are in third place with 14 points in seven games.

Jambajelly United are mid-table with 8 points in five games, while Nema United also in mid-table have 6 points in seven games.
