Business tycoon dies in fatal car accident in CRR

Reliable sources reaching The Point Newspaper have revealed that one Malick Secka, a business tycoon and believed to be in his late 40s, died in a fatal car accident on Tuesday in the Central River Region North.

According to our sources, the cause of the accident was not known but sources revealed that the accident occurred on Tuesday evening around 8pm between Sait Mariam village and Nema-mandinka in Niani district in the Central River Region North.

Sources further revealed that the said victim was driving a vehicle registration number BJL 8544 K leaving Janjanbureh and going towards Wassu, when the accident occurred and left the business tycoon dead, whilst another person on the vehicle sustained injuries.

The sources also revealed that the said vehicle was carrying three people including the deceased, who happened to be the driver of the said vehicle.

Our sources said the deceased was a native of Kataba Omar Ndow village in Niani and was survived by three wives and over ten children.

The person who sustained the injuries was taken to Kuntaur Hospital, and the body of the diseased was taken to his home village, our sources said further.

According to our sources, the victim was earlier seen praying that very evening at a small mosque around the ferry terminal in Lamin Koto, while waiting for ferry to cross over.

However, at the time of going to press, we could not verify from the police public relations officer as to the cause of the accident.
