Buba Bojang re-elected as Kombo South Sports chairperson

Buba Bojang has been unanimously re-elected as the Chairperson of the Kombo South District Sports Committee (KSDSC) for another four-year term.

  Bojang, alias Bada was re-elected at the committee's congress, which was held on Sunday 20th June 2010, at the Gunjur Upper Basic School by representatives of the affiliated villages within the district.

The other executive members were 1st Vice-Chairperson-Ba Ensa Jawara, 2nd Vice-Chairperson Serreh Jatta, and Secretary-General Omar Jammeh, assisted by Ensa Jarju.

The position of Social Secretary went to Lamin Janneh, Assistant Social Secretary Lamin Wandi Darboe. Bakary Bojang is the Public Relations Officer, while Abass Colley emerged the Treasurer.Tahirou Sambou and Modou Lamin Fadera are Auditor and Adviser, respectively.

Speaking to delegates after his re-election, Bojang congratulated them for the confidence repose in him as the Chairperson of Kombo South District Sports Committee for another four-year term. He then assured them that his committee will work towards promoting and developing sports in the area.

He seized the opportunity to applaud the National GSM operator Gamcel for being supportive to his committee during past Kombo South district football tournaments.

Speaking earlier, the Secretary-General, Omar Jammeh and the Treasurer of Western Region Sports Committee, Abdou Karim Sey, who said he was really impressed with the contribution of the Kombo South District Sports Committee towards the development of sports in the district. He then urged them to continue rendering more support to help uplift sports in the district.
