Baldeh was at one time the managing director of the Daily Observer newspaper company.
According to sources, he died last night in Dakar after complaining for few days of stomach-ache. And this was after returning from a conference in Nigeria last week.
Born in Basse Mansajang in the Upper River Region, Buba Baldeh was the son of the late Michael Baldeh, a former Basse parliamentarian.
He is survived by two wives and many children.
The funeral arrangements are yet to be announced by his relatives. Meanwhile, it was not clear yesterday whether he will be buried in The Gambia or Senegal, where he lived all these past years.
