Current league leaders Brikama United on Sunday defeated the Gambia Armed Forces FC by 2-1 in the week nineteen encounter of the Gambia Football Association (GFA) first division league played at the Box Bar Mini-stadium to maintain their top spot in the twelve-team league table.
It only took the home side, Brikama United, six minutes to open the scoring through Bully Drammeh from a brilliant finish after capitalising on Modou Jallow’s cross.
Two minutes later, Buba Sama struck the stand bar for the Gambia Armed Forces from a superb shot.
Lamin Colley levelled the score-line for the Gambia Armed Forces in the 52nd minute of the game from a superb long range drive but his side’s efforts of earning any point was dashed three minutes later when Bully Drammeh fired home a sensible strike to register his name twice on the score-sheet for Brikama United.
